New Years Resolutions 2006

1. Smoke less (Which is something I picked up in Dubai, everyone smokes here!)
2. Be more careful with those you fall for
3. Work for experience that will bring you closer to your dream job (I guess we all have to start some where)
4. Be more patient
5. Search out those friends who will make you want to be a better person
6. Don't hold back

I hope everyone has an amazing new years and you are able to share it with those you care about. As cliche as this whole post is, life really is short (Melinda Mills, rest in peace, you touched all of those who knew you).

So live life without regret. We all make mistakes, but this is one of the best ways to learn.

Much love to you all, from the desert which I now call home -- Dubai! The crazy places life will bring you, it's all about adapting and being strong!

Hugs and kisses from this crazy outlandish girl!

Motorola Pink V3 Razr Launch Party

The perks for working for Motorola! Went to the pink V3 launch at trilogy with DJ Eric Marillo. Ana and I put together fabulous designer outfits from Karama in attempts to win one of the five pink razrs they were giving away. Unfortunately we got robbed and by far we were the best dressed. Great times!

oh Good Old College Parties

Okay, so I'm laying in bed, ready to fall asleep. But I'm having the hardest time of closing my eyes and naively drifting off to the land of sheep and puffy clouds. So, insomniac style, I get up to take a breathe of fresh air from my balcony. What do I observe at 2 in morning? This:

CAPITALISM

A man, an Indian (not to be racist, but here in Dubai, the Indians tend to be a lower working class of individuals), pushin his bicycle that was completely overloaded with random wears. The most distinguishable, an over sized cardboard box, stacks of other random, low value goods, that he so precisely balanced on his modest bicycle, down the streets of Bur Dubai.

My attention was slightly distracted by the attractive women in a tight, short, red dress. From, most likely, an Asian descent, wearily wandering back into her cheap hotel. Her legs tired from hours of selling commercial, MNC goods, or herself, I've yet to confirm. But regardless, two distinctly uninvolved individuals, trying to make a living in what I call home, the developing market of Dubai.

Now that I ask, who is better off?? I have some of my own assumptions, but I would prefer to take a pole. So share your opinions, share all! What's better in what is happening with the expansion of capitalistic markets???????
